I enjoy every part of the process involved in creating a painting; from the initial excitement of sketching out ideas, to the exploration of colors, values and shapes. Recreating for the viewer that spark that caught my attention in the beginning and enabling them to see it too is always one of my goals.
I’m currently working in acrylics on canvas or board which gives me the opportunity to experiment with layering colors and textures. I also enjoy working with oil pastels and I often start with a rich dark underpainting and allow that to show throughout the finished piece.
My husband is also an artist and photographer and we currently reside in Oregon City, Oregon where we operate “Sweet Pixels”, a business offering various services to artists. Sweet Pixels offers giclee reproductions, graphic design and framing.
